As of 1 January 2016, Carsten Gaarn-Larsen will be taking over from Preben Birr-Pedersen who has been leading CLEAN for the last 3 years and thus responsible of consolidating 5 different national clusters into CLEAN.
With the appointment of Carsten Gaarn-Larsen, CLEAN strengthens its core strategy of promoting green growth and innovation to ensure further development of the organization and the Danish cleantech sector.

Carsten Gaarn-Larsen has a background as managing director of the Danish National Advanced Technology Foundation for more than 8 years and held executive positions in the Danish telecom sector. He holds master degrees in Science Economics and Electrical Engineering combined with executive business courses at Harvard, MIT, University of Pennsylvania and INSEAD.
CLEAN is the leading Danish Cleantech cluster with more than 200 members and is currently involved in projects with a value of more than 60 M €.
