PRESSEMEDDELELSE: ICN Mobilising Climate Action
The International Cleantech Network (ICN) is an alliance of 19 leading cleantech innovation ecosystems in 16 countries, representing over 16,000 innovative green business enterprises. By connecting innovation ecosystems across the world, the ICN helps identify and scale climate solutions globally.
Last weekend marked the close of COP26, where international leaders worked to create a roadmap to limit the climate crisis. Although progress was made, COP26 highlighted the gap between long-term targets and current commitments. While the outcome was not what many hoped for, we see through our work with frontrunners around the world that markets are already driving the uptake of climate solutions, accelerating progress toward net-zero every day.
We represent a global network of cleantech clusters bringing together cutting-edge climate solutions, research institutions, as well as ambitious cities, regional governments, and large enterprises in the fight against climate change. By connecting these partners, we overcome the obstacles that slow down innovation. Rather than being discouraged by the outcome of COP26, we are more motivated than ever to intensify our work.
We will lead by catalyzing climate action that propels our nations towards net zero.
We will ally with cities, regional governments and large enterprises to realize ambitious action plans, identify and scale up climate solutions, and share progress to build momentom around the world. We pledge to mobilize our innovation ecosystems to confront the climate crisis. We invite our partners to join us.
