Smart Water Workshop (Urban Living Lab Panaji)

Smart Water Workshop (Urban Living Lab Panaji)

The Project Urban Living Lab in Panaji (PULL) is India’s first urban living lab. It is a sandbox to test new approaches and solutions to complex urban challenges for sustainable, future-proof cities in collaboration with residents, policymakers, public bodies, businesses and academia. PULL has been set up under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Royal Danish Embassy in India (RDE) and Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited (IPSCDL), drawing on an earlier MoU on Sustainable and Smart Urban Development signed between the governments of Denmark and India in April 2018.

Intent of the workshop

The idea behind the workshop is to convene Danish experts in the water sector to respond to the identified challenges. We are looking at convening firms which offer traditional approaches to water related challenges, firms that offer digital solutions coupled with those which offer nature-based solutions. We expect that the platform will enable partnerships between participating entities.

We also plan to explore, with the participants, the focus areas of the future Urban Living Lab concept in India and what they could deliver. At the workshop, we will be open for your input and bring them into the final recommendations for the PULL. Finally, we want to discuss new export models.
